Not sure if this has been put up here, but it's a fun tale of the trials and tribulations of a man trying to get Porsche to fix his car.
Personally, I hope this gets figured out soon. It's a bummer when your car is falling apart, doubly so when it's due to issues at the manufacturer, and triply so when it's a car you really wanted.

Those problems are unacceptable.

Watched this earlier on CarThrottle. I honestly feel bad for the guy. I thought Porsche had pretty good quality control. His experience is just bad PR.

The issue is he wants a full cash refund, not the lemon law worth. Not saying he doesn't deserve it, actually I believe he does, and bmw gives new value all the time. But legally, he only deserves what the car is worth on the used market. (Unless his states law is different, which I doubt.)

Those are some really amazing issues. Hans must've found out his wife is fucking the mailman or something before going to work at the factory that day.

Very true point. I spent the entire video wondering if this was how he was going to enact lemon law rules, because it has been in the shop for more than 60 days. I'm hoping that either Porsche gives him what he wants or he brings it to court.

I remember his first video about the 991, he seemed so content and happy he got his dream car. Now, its just gone straight to hell. Hope something positive gets done.

All electrical problems. I'll bet the wiring harness/connector was borked up during assembly. The water problem is probably related to the past servicing. Wonder if you have to pull the windshield to get the dash completely apart?

Is it the manufacturer that's fucking with him or is it the dealership?

It seems to be the manufacturer. He mentions that even the guy he goes through with all the issues agrees that Porsche should just replace the car.

Why go through the lemon law if you only get what it is worth on the used market. Then there is no reason to pursue the lemon law because you can just get the same value by selling it yourself.
Now, that may be how his state does it, and they make the used market value comparable to a car that isn't having all the problems. The way Maryland does it is you get awarded what you paid, including tax and tags, minus 15% for use and up to 15% for any cosmetic damages. Even at that buyers are getting the shaft, since they have to pay 3000 for using a $20k car for a year, even if you have to continually bring it into the shop.
//My view is slanted on this stuff, know someone who is going through the lemon law and pretty much wasting her life away on it.

They give you a little bit more than used, I think there is a certain deduction per mile. That being said, I believe if you buy a car you can't use, you deserve a full refund. Tell your friend to get a lemon law attorney, the manufacturer pays for his/her services.
